THE CHALLENGE: Reliance Interiors has always sought smart solutions to daily challenges. Within the first several years of operation, the company eliminated manual timekeeping processes in favor of an electronic job clock system and continued in this manner for nearly two decades. But the system and processes quickly became outdated and non-scalable. While the system tracked hours, it did not track project or cost codes. With no automation and no integration, paper was STILL used for entering various codes into an Excel spreadsheet and then manually imported to payroll. A typically day involved juggling more than 10+ projects, each with its own foreman and subcontractors, so capturing and validating the data manually in a macro file was time consuming and error-prone.
